FINISHED!!!...........for now
Well I was able to get it finished and just in time for Xmas. I took it down to STG and went wheelin with my brother. I am pretty sure that it rides allot better now also (expert mechanical ability). So now all I have to do is swap in my Dana 44 and Dana 30 axle that are in the green jeep along with the tires, and than paint it. It may be a while before I do that though.

I need more tools
Well today I had hopes of getting the bad fender well cut out and the new one put in place and ready to be welded in. As you may guess by the title that didn't happen due to lack of proper tools. I really need a nice drill, one with a cord, and a nice set of drill bits. Not to mention all the other tools I would like to have.......
I was able to get a little done though. I got the bumper off and well that's about it. I spent most of the day shoveling snow.

Sunday = more work done.....
Today I was able to get almost everything off that needs to be replaced, I got the hood and the fender off. I unbolted all the wires and the computer that was attached to the fender. I have a hood, fender, and inner fender lined up so now I just need to get the inner fender taken off so I can start replacing parts. The inner fender needs to be cut out so I am going to have to get a grinder to do all that.

Progress
Well today I cleared out the garage and made some room to work. I pulled the jeep in and started tearing it apart.
I got the hood open and started taking the header panel off.

Smashed the K & N so I will have to buy a new one of them.

Here is the power steering pump, the aux fan pushed back into it and broke the pulley which is why I thought the serp. belt was broke. Turns out it is still good but I will replace it anyway. The aux fan is smashed to pieces though.

I am pretty sure that the radiator is ok.

I found this also, good thing I am getting a new axle in this soon.

Here is how it looks now after all the stuff I was able to remove today.

Next will be the fender and hood. All in all it has been going pretty smooth, the hardest part today was trying to get the hood open.

Project XJ has begun
Well last night I finally got my jeep back and today I snapped a few pics so that you all could see the carnage. I tried to remove a few things but didn't have much luck since it gets dark at 5:30. I couldn't get the hood open to get any shots of inside. I am sure that the radiator will need to be replaced though. Tomorrow I may have a few more pics to put up.
